I am a 64 year old, very white skin...I have always been confused about people being angry at another just because their skin has less melanin. Racism is just hate. They promote hate, racism, and decide to terrorize others who do not look like them. Racists are delusional. If I could make a change to the direction of the human species, I would remove that melanin descrimination problem. We are created equal and should treat others as equal. 240616--You are not correct. The term " The United States" refers to the federal state, a.k.a. Washington, D.C. and its territories, a.k.a. "federal states". All ex-slaves were naturalized with the illegally ratified 14th, because less than half of the Congress voted on it.

The writers of the federalist papers and the anti-federalist papers were both correct. We needed a stronger federal goverment, but it beeded be restricted to a very narrow specific focus. The federalist papers were an eaxpression of the need to prevent the federal goverment from curtailing the liberties of the people. The anti-federalist papers expressed the belief that giving a federal goverment goverment any real power would lead to the supression of individuals liberties. They were both right, as we can see today. Their are people today that argue that we are more advanced today and the views expressed when those papers were written no longer apply. That is far from reality. They were talking about human nature and the need to protect ourselfs from our own nature. That hasn't changed since those papers were written. We have better technology and more access to information, much of which is not accurate, but our nature hasn't changed. We are still human with all the flaws that entails and we still fall pray to those who wish to have power over us. The ferderal goverment has grown to an extent that was never intended and has taken more power than it was ever supposed to have. The very things that the anti-federalist papers warned about.

The part that he is mistaken of is that back in those days, racist and segregationist existed in BOTH parties. Also, there were Democrats and Republicans up north AND down south. While the Republican Party was more likely to support black liberation, their support was motivated more by their personal financial benefit. This is why the transition happened so quickly.

Hi there Hughes! As a born again believer of Jesus (previously an agnostic/atheist), I just want to clarify some things. You said the Gospels were written 60 or 70 "decades" after the death and resurrection of Jesus and that is way off and very historically inaccurate. I assume you misspoke, but I think you meant to say 60 AD, so like 30-40years after his death and resurrection. That is the accurate estimate of the dates of the gospel/new testament writings, Revelation may have been written no later than 90AD. Jesus' main message was that none of us are good, and he said "Repent and believe the gospel." and the purpose of the messiah of the Hebrew bible/Old Testament was not to start an earthly kingdom but to bear the sins of the world in order to create a new covenant, a new people with God's law written in their hearts and empowered by the Holy Spirit (Ezekiel 36:26, Ezekiel 11:19-20 Jeremiah 24:7). If you read the Old Testament (the Tanakh/Hebrew bible) you will see that all the messianic prophecies were fulfilled in the coming of Jesus Christ. The messiah would be born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14), would be born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2), and would be pierced for our transgressions and crushed for our iniquities... and the LORD laid on Him the iniquity of us all (Isaiah 53:5-6 - a prophecy written 700 years before the arrival of Christ) Most importantly, we cannot wash ourselves of our sins, but only through faith in Jesus, in His sacrifice on the cross on our behalf (he paid our sin debt), that is how we obtain forgiveness and eternal life. It is by repentance (changing our mind about sin and turning away from sin) and faith in Jesus that we are "washed" of all our sins. God is also One God but expressed in 3 "Persons": Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This is consistent from Genesis 1 and throughout the Old testament into the New Testament, for any Jews or Muslims on here. Elohim (God) was in the beginning, Elohim is plural and in Genesis 1:2, the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Jesus said that He and the Father are one (John 10:30) The Holy Spirit is not the sign of the cross, I'm not sure what you meant by that. Jesus said of the Holy Spirit, ""But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me. And you also will bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning." (John 15:26-27) Also, it is true that Jesus is very exclusive about how He is the Way, the Truth and the Life and no one comes to the Father but through Him. (John 14:6) But also most other faiths are like that as well. Most faiths have a means or a way to salvation that is exclusive, meaning you have to believe something in particular or refrain from other beliefs in every religion. For example Islam believes that you have to believe Muhammad is the final prophet, and yet if you believe Jesus died on the cross or that Jesus is God, within Islamic beliefs that means you go to hell. They even kill people who convert from Islam to Christianity. So the very thing that we must believe in Christianity in order to be saved (that Jesus is God and died for our sins and rose again), is the one thing that would send us to hell in other religions like Islam and Judaism, they think it's blasphemy to say Jesus is God. And yet Muhammad was born 600 years after Christ so why should we believe him over the eyewitness accounts of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection especially since historically every scholar knows it is a fact that Jesus truly was crucified under Pontius Pilate and yet the Quran & Muslims continue to deny it. Jesus warned there would be false prophets. We are very close to the end of the age. I am praying everyone who reads this comes to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior from their sins. Tomorrow is not promised. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23 "...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." Romans 3:23-24 "But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not by the righteous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit."
